Studying at SLU with a disability

Are you planning to study at SLU? Do you have a disability that may affect your studies? Then you can apply for learning support. SLU aims to offer all students equal opportunities to pursue their studies in a good study environment.

You can receive support for permanent disabilities that affect your studies
Disability means a permanent physical or mental limitation. This includes dyslexia, physical disabilities, mental and neuropsychiatric disorders, visual or hearing impairment as well as chronic illnesses that affect the studies.

Apply for support on the SLU student web
In order to get support you need to apply for it. Fill in the web form via the link on the SLU student web. Enclose a medical or psychological certificate or a certificate from a qualified person stating that you have dyslexia. The support is individually tailored and is designed in consultation with you, the student.

Contact SLU's coordinator of special pedagogical support well in advance
In order to be able give you to get the appropriate learning support from the beginning of your studies, it is important that you contact SLU's coordinator of special pedagogical support well in advance. Get in touch as soon as you submit your application to one of our programmes or single courses. Together, we can discuss what support may be appropriate for you.

You are of course welcome to ask questions about what it is like to study with a disability at SLU, even if you have not yet decided to apply for one of our programmes or courses.
