Payment of Tuition Fees
An application fee of SEK 900 (approximately EUR 100) applies to all SLU programmes and courses. To apply, visit University Admissions.
Once you have received notification of your acceptance to SLU and have confirmed your acceptance, you will receive an invoice by email for the tuition fees for the first semester. With the invoice you will get information on how and when payment should be made. We strongly recommend you make a bank wire transfer from an account where you are the registered account holder. Once the tuition fees for the first semester are paid, you can apply for your residence permit through the Swedish Migration Board, Migrationsverket.
Refund of Tuition Fees
SLU does not refund tuition fees; but exceptions can be made in individual cases if it has been established that there are exceptional and mitigating circumstances. We can only make refunds to the same bank account that the tuition fee was paid from. To avoid problems regarding refunding, we strongly recommend you make a bank wire transfer from an account where you are the registered account holder. For further information, please contact the Admissions Office at SLU.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available for fee-paying students admitted to Master's programmes. The scholarships are granted by both SLU and the Swedish Institute (SI). Scholarships offered by SLU cover tuition fees only (not the cost of living). The number of scholarships awarded changes from year to year. Information about scholarships at SLU, including how to apply, is sent out to all applicants applying in time.
